Fun Activities


Saturday, April 6th 9am-3pm : Fox Cities Exhibition Center, Appleton 355 Lawrence Street, Appleton.

This is a free family event filled with fun, education & adventure. There will be interactive activities & entertainment for children and parents. Activities include face painting, inflatables, photos with favorite costumed characters, crafts, balloon animals, diaper derby, puppets, tot-zones, magicians, petting zoo, sand bag toss, and hands on activities throughout the day. Don’t miss out on this great free opportunity!


April 22nd, 10:00 am to 11:00 am : Memorial Tullar Shelter- 1131 Tullar Road, Neenah Grades 1st through 5th, $10 fee for materials

Spend the morning with friends and family making a kid’s classic, slime! All the supplies will be available; various colors, beads, glitter and scents will also be offered so you can boost your creation over the top. Go to for more information or contact or 920-886-6060.


Annual Touch a Truck Event : May 8th at 11:00 am Neenah Memorial Park, 1131 Tullar Road

NM Firefighters Foundation and Neenah Parks & Recreation are sponsoring a fire-fighter themed splash pad at local Washington Park. With a $20 donation, you have the opportunity to watch you mini “firefighter” explore a firetruck and land on a splash pad target after jumping from the fire ladder! You will also have a chance to win CASH PRIZES!  Make your $20 donation in cash or check at Station #32 or Neenah Parks and Recreation Department Mon- Fri. 8AM-4PM

STORYWALK: A READING ADVENTURE: Riverside Park at the Rocket: May 3rd through May 19th Washington Park, September 14th through October 1st

StoryWalk is a fun, free activity that combines a children’s story with a walking journey. Children’s books are selected, laminated, and placed along a walking path. This allows walkers to put the story together as they go. StoryWalk is a way to inspire parents, teachers, and caregivers to take young children on a short stroll that will be fun for all. StoryWalk not only provides a fun, physical activity, but also builds interest in reading and learning. The routes are self-guided, so please attend at your convenience, and abide by park rules.


May 16th, Memorial Park (Parking lot by Appleblossom Dr.) 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm

The Neenah Police Bicycle Patrol is putting on their 3rd Annual Family Fun Night. This free event features exciting activities, such as drone racing, bike rodeo, a bouncy obstacle course, and so much more! There is also an opportunity to win a new bike! All proceeds from the event will benefit the Neenah Bicycle Patrol.


June 24th through the 27th: Christine Anne Domestic Abuse Services: 206 Algoma Blvd, Oshkosh, WI

This FREE event is currently being offered to teenagers. Lessons taught will focus on healthy connections, increased self-esteem, and understanding how time and energy play into having loving relationships. Teens will also be working with horses alongside the Christine Anne staff to increase skills in team building, and learning new hands-on activities. The camp requirements are that your child is between the ages of 13 and 17, have availability for 4 days (Between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm), and have an interest to learn about relationships and horseback riding. Snacks & Lunch will be provided every day.

Mondays, June 10th through August 5th from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm; Shattuck Park, Downtown Neenah

This free activity is sure to bring an extra level of fun to your daily routine! Zumba classes are being held Monday evenings for anyone over the age of 15. Zumba is a fun-filled fitness program that includes elements of Latin-American style dancing and music. This is a sure fire way to not only get your exercise in for the week, but to also have fun doing it! No registration is necessary



Free Pre-school programs for eligible families- Fox Cities Locations

UWO Head Start offers programming for pre-school aged children that include a 3 ½ hour class, 6 ½ hour class and various collaboration programs to teach your child(ren) skills to succeed in kindergarten and to be excited about learning. The Head Start program centers on values like partnership, harmony, enrichment and integrity, and offer a fun and inclusive area for kids of all backgrounds.
